Abe Lincoln was born in 1809, and joined the Mountain View Garden Club in 1932. Rumors of his assasination have obviously been exaggeraged, and in fact he looks quite good for his age. When asked what the secret of his rugged good looks are after 202 years, he modestly replies that he owes it all to tips from the Mountain View Garden Club.

Eileen Watkins was born in 1944 and has lived here in Mountain View with her husband and 4 children since 1965.
She joined the Garden Club in 1990, and has gone on to participate in State events, as well. Her work can be seen all over town, especially near the Mountain View Chamber or Community Center building. The design around the clock on SBU campus is also coutesy of Eileen.

Julia Turner. Julia joined MVGC in 2009, when she and her husband Joe moved here from Fort Collins, Colorado.
She and her husband actually ran a tree nursery for 20 years. Naturally, they have a great deal of knowledge about horticulture, and we are glad to have them share that knowledge and expreience with us! Julia hopes to really get involved in our fund-raising efforts.
